  1. Open a web browser and go to InstallTurboTax.com.
  2. Sign in to your Intuit Account or create a new one if you don’t have an account.
  3. Enter your license code in the provided field. The code is a 14-character combination of letters and numbers (e.g., XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX) found on your CD box insert, envelope, or email receipt.
  4. Select your operating system (Windows or Mac) and click Get Download.
  5. Download the installation file and locate it on your computer.
  6. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation process.
  7. Accept the TurboTax License Agreement when prompted.
  8. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
